PUBLIC INFORMATION COMMITTEE FORMED

The Public Information Committed of the Greater Erie Area Intergroup met in January 1997. The members of the committee are Vi (Chair), Mary Carole, Mel, Dawn, and Debbie K. The goal of this committee is to spread the OA message to those who still suffer from eating disorders:?compulsive eating, bulimia, and anorexia.

The committee decided to pursue four major avenues of publicizing the OA message: cable television public service messages, faxed press releases to the local media, health fair exhibits, and business cards.

Our committee meetings are open to any interested OA member. We also need public information ideas from the membership and each of the local OA meetings. If you would like to share your idea(s) by calling a committee member or attending a Public Information Committee Meeting, please call Vi at:
