Erie OA Has a Site on the World Wide Web!
Great Erie Area Intergroup has published a site on the World Wide Web. This is a source of up to date information about our OA fellowship. Contained in this Web site is:
The URL for our web site has been submitted to more that 250 search engines on the internet, and we are hopeful that we will be listed on most of them. We have already had responses from people looking for help. One was from a woman in Virginia who wanted to know how to find OA meetings. Another plea for help was from an individual in Erie looking for meeting information and someone to talk to.
We hope that you will visit the Erie OA Web Site, and that it will continue to be a valuable source of information for you and others who are interested in our fellowship.

Fall Marathon 97
Living Abstinent Lives
Sponsored by the Monday Night Meeting
A fall marathon will be held on Saturday, October 4th from 10 AM - 3:00 PM at the St. Vincent School of Nursing in Erie, PA. Registration will be at 9:30 AM.
All are welcome to attend this exciting, information packed event. Out of town speakers with long periods of abstinence will share with us their experience, strength, and hope.
Lunch will be at noon and you can either bring your own lunch or dine out at any of the local restaurants or at the St. Vincent Health Center Cafeteria which is only 1 1/2 blocks from the Marathon location. Sodas and beverages will be provided. Donations will be gratefully accepted.

Intergroup Needs

We are without a full staff of Intergroup Officers. By-Law suggestions for Intergroup Officers are:
Intergroup meets the second Sunday of each month at:
St. Vincent Health Center, First Floor Conference Room (go
through the cafeteria)
6:30 PM
Anyone is free to attend any Intergroup Meeting. We invite input from any member of the OA fellowship. We need your ideas, energy, and inspiration!
Intergroup provides an excellent opportunity to do service to others still suffering from compulsive eating. Service to Intergroup offers a way that you can strengthen your own recovery.
We hope to see you there!
